In 2012, having won the FA 'National Community Club of the Year', Carshalton Athletic were nominated for the equivalent European UEFA awards.

The club has subsequently been awarded the silver medal award for the 'Best Grassroots Club in Europe'.
The award will be presented at Wembley on 14th August, before the England-Scotland match, where a delegation from Carshalton Athletic will proudly represent itself, the borough, county and country.
"It's a great testament to the best club volunteers (coaches), staff and fans a club could ever wish for. So many have played a part in our development over the past five years and I am so pleased that their work has been recognised at a European level. It is awesome," said club owner Paul Dipre.

A full press release will be forthcoming in the near future. -

New Era: Colston Avenue's grass pitch will be replaced with a 3G surface
By Tim Ashton, 5th Feb 2015

Carshalton Athletic: Robins to roost on 3G pitch.

Carshalton Athletic have been given the go ahead to install a 3G pitch at Colston Avenue.
The club won an appeal on Thursday against the original decision by sutton council last year that rejected the planning application.

Robins will now go about raising the £400,000 needed, and any timescale is dependent on those funds being found.
Chairman Paul Dipre said the money will come from a variety of sources, including grants from the Football Foundation, as well as money raised within the club itself.

He said: “This is probably the best moment since I have been at the club, it is fantastic news."
“It means we can continue the community scheme we are currently running, but all from one place."

“No more training at dozens of different sites, we can all be together, and everyone at the club is delighted with the news.”
He added: "The fact the appeal was successful shows it was a good application in the first place."

"When we can start work depends on the fund-raising, and I think it'll be tight to get work started this summer."
